The Rust Bucket Rally 2022 incudes West Bridgford drivers Paul Brooks, James Riley, James Gibson and Bradley Perrow.

On the 3 June 2022 almost 50 teams will depart from Wellingborough in convoy heading for Dover, and then on to Europe for a 4-day event covering 2,500 miles in cars that cost £500 or less.

This is the sixth event,  £180,000 has been raised for 5 charities since its inception.

This year’s charities are We Mind & Kelly Matters and Prostaid.

Over 100 people are taking part travelling through: England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy, The Netherlands and Belgium, with over night stays in Pfullendorf, Venice & Stuttgart.

The cars are paid for by the individual teams including all running costs and hotel accommodation – all money given as a sponsor goes directly to the charities.

The local team from Nottingham consists of Paul Brooks, James Riley, James Gibson and Bradley Perrow.

The team members bought the cars for an event back in 2019 but due to the pandemic this could not go ahead, they are now ready to embark on this gruelling event –

Organisers said:

’14 hour days driving in a car is not as fun as it sounds – but it is all worth it for the good causes we support.’

For Paul and Brad this is there 4th time taking part and they know how difficult it is.

We would like to give a huge shout out to our car sponsors:
