The institution is best known for its prestigious business school, as well as leadership in engineering and natural sciences. It also has one of the UK’s largest medical faculties, making it a popular choice for medical students of all disciplines. Imperial is based in South Kensington, which is an upmarket part of central London with fantastic museums, parks, and shops. Imperial is the most international university in the UK, with half of the student population being from overseas. UCL is ranked as the 14th best university in the world. Located in the heart of London it has 11 faculties: Arts and Humanities, Built Environment, Brain Sciences, Engineering, the Institute of Education, Laws, Life Sciences, Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Medical Sciences, Population Health Sciences, and Social and Historical Sciences. A third of UCL’s students are from overseas, making it a very international university. City, University of London is best known for CASS Business School, City Law School and the School of Health Sciences. It is named after its close relationship with The City – London’s historic financial district and prides itself on having strong links with leading companies in this competitive area. Goldsmiths (University of London) specialises in the study of creative, cultural and social subjects and is renowned for its innovative approach to teaching and research. Based in trendy south east London students have vote it one of the UK’s top creative and political universities (Which? It is a very popular university for international students for its courses in law, sciences and humanities. It’s brilliantly situated with four of its five campuses being very central and closely situated to the River Thames. King’s alumni and staff are some of the most well recognised in the world; including 12 Nobel laureates, medical pioneers and heads of state.[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_5499" align="aligncenter" width="765"] 6. LSE, London School of Economics and Political Science, is world ranked for its faculty of social sciences. LSE is considered to be a pioneer in subjects such as anthropology, politics, sociology, law and accounting. Based in Westminster, central London, it has some of the most prestigious and recognisable campuses close to the heart of the city in the Chancery Lane area, historically associated with the legal professions. SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies) is the only institution in Europe to focus on cultures and languages of Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East. Unsurprisingly this is a very international university, with over half of its students coming from overseas. UAL (University of the Arts London) is Europe’s largest specialist art and design university with its creative community made up of 6 colleges, each with its own world-class reputation: Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, London College of Communication, London College of Fashion and Wimbledon College of Arts. Offering an extensive range of courses in art, design, fashion, communication and performing arts, UAL is the main talent pipeline to the UK’s creative industries.[/caption]
